The MFP Epson L380 measures 18×49.5×27 cm (HxWxD) in dimensions and is good in case you wish to keep the machine at home as well as office.

As far as paper handling is concerned. The Epson L380 is equipped with both input and output trays. The input tray has a capacity of 100 sheets that supports A4, A5, A6, B5, C6 and DL paper sizes, while the output tray can hold only upto 20 sheets.

HP Deskjet GT5820

HP Deskje GT5820 Printer

HP DeskJet GT 5820 on the other hand offers a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. It has a duty cycle of 1000 pages per month and supports A4, A6, B5 and DL media sizes. The printer can print upto 8000 color and upto 5000 black at an affordable cost per page.

HP claims that the DeskJet GT 5820 can print upto 8000 color and 5000 monochrome pages, this means every page costs about 10paise for black and roughly 20paise for color. Each ink bottle is available at a shelf price of Rs.499.

Based on number of features and the printing cost involved on both the Epson L380 VS HP DeskJet GT5820 printers, the Epson L380 looks like a better choice overall. However, there aren’t any major advantages that you’re getting on the printer, but a number of small features.
