We’ve seen the OnePlus Dash Charge technology to perform exceptionally well during regular use and even offering an impressive 60-percent of charge in mere 30minutes. This 30minute charge could also last your OnePLus 5T for a whole day. While that is mighty impressive, a comprehensive test carried out by Tom’s Guide has proved that the OnePlus 5T actually charges faster than any of the other flagship smartphones available in the market. The smartphone was tested on various parameters and the results show the charging time of OnePlus 5T beating the flagships like Apple iPhone X, Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S8.

Most of flagship Android smartphones, including the Google Pixel 2, use Qualcomm’s quick charge technology. While the iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X come with support for fast charging, Apple does not bundle a fast charger inside the box. And to enable fast charging on the iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus, one has to purchase a 29-watt power adapter and a USB-C to Lightning cable for 68 dollars.

The test recorded the battery life of a total of 7 smartphones including the OnePlus 5T, LG V30, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Each smartphone was recorded after 30minutes and 60minutes of charging. All smartphones were started at zero percent battery and had their screen turned off.

In the test, OnePlus 5T came out on top – attaining a 59 per cent of charge in 30minutes and almost a full charge (93 per cent) in an hour. The LG V30 on the other hand held the runners up spot with an 86 per cent charge in an hour. The iPhones populated the 3rd, 4th and 5th spots in the list – with the iPhone X coming ahead of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone X attained an 81 per cent charge in 60 minutes.

Surprisingly, the Google Pixel 2 and Galaxy Note 8 were on the last spots, coming at 6th and 7th in the test. The Pixel 2 attained a 75 per cent charge in an hour and the Galaxy Note 8 reached 74 per cent in 60 minutes.
