Sony RX10 IV Super Zoom Bridge

Finally after unveiling its premium priced Bridge camera Sony RX10 IV, the company has now announced it in the Indian market. The camera is priced at a whooping Rs.1,29,990 and comes equipped with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm (F2.4-F4) lens that offers 25x optical zoom. The camera will be available starting Saturday, October 14 at Alpha flagship stores and major electronic outlets across India.

Who is it made for?

The latest Sony RX10 IV is manufactured for those who want to “capture more stunning stills and movies at every opportunity,” the company said. The camera retains much of its hardware from the previous generation RX10 III and even offers same zoom lens with SteadyShot optical image stabilization.

The users who wanted to capture at crazy shooting speeds, the Sony RX10 IV is made for you and can hit a mark of upto 24 frames per second in continuous shooting along with autofocus and exposure. This all comes combining with the Sony’s High-density Tracking AF to achieve autofocus in 0.3 seconds.

Sony said it managed to pack the “world-leading 0.03-s AF speed by the [20.1-megapixel] 1.0-type Exmor RS CMOS image sensor that provides for fast, accurate autofocusing at all times.”

Highlights

  • The Sony RX10 IV offers 03 sec high speed AF with 315 focal-plane phase-detection AF points
  • High-speed 24fps shooting with AF/AE tracking
  • ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm F2.4-F4 Large Aperture, High Magnification Zoom Lens

This unique feature gives users the ability to choose among 960fps, 480fps and 240 fps frame rates and among 60p, 30p and 24p playback formats

If we talk about the 4K video recording, the Sony RX10 IV utilizes the XAVC S codec that records videos at a high data rate of up to 100 Mbps depending on shooting mode. Users have the option of shooting at either 24p or 30p in 4K mode (100 Mbps), or in frame rates of up to 120p in Full HD mode.
