Chinese tech products giant Xiaomi has added a brand new Mi Air Purifier MAX to its arsenal. The device comes with a bigger form factor compared to the previous two models, and also offers a wider coverage area. It is launched at a price of CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 19,600).

The Mi Air Purifier Max features a design similar to the previous models that have so far been launched by Xiaomi, including the recently launched Mi Air Purifier 2S. It comes with an OLED display having a circular shape and is integrated with the operational design. The OLED display shows information like Wi-Fi connection status, dimming, temperature, humidity among others. As a result of its gigantic size, the Mi Air Purifier Max utilises a two-filter design. The design includes a left and right fuselage with a detachable top cover which allows users to replace the filters manually.

The air purifier comes with an ‘advanced mute technology’ giving it a noise level as low as 34dB (A) in sleep mode. The company claims that the Mi Air Purifier MAX is suitable for large areas of up to 120 square metres. It also offers a longer filter life of 6 to 12 months, depending on usage.

The latest Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Max equips an air pressurisation technology that provides a particulate CADR of up to 1000 square metres per hour. This technology can adapt to the size of the room and the particulate matter present. Xiaomi has also created a proprietary dual air inlet system, which increases the area of air inlet and air outlet resulting in more efficient purification. The Mi Air Purifier MAX is also equipped with a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. It incorporates a laser particle sensor that claims to automatically detect AQI (Air Quality Index) and display it on the front of the purifier.

The air purifier can be controlled with the Mi Home app, available on Android and iOS that offers functionality such as showing information about PM2.5 levels and providing the options of timer switch and remote switch for users to manage the Mi Air Purifier MAX. In terms of design, this air purifier has a new magnetic door design for the filter cabin. It also has an emergency stop function that will stop the fan immediately if the filter cartridge is opened during operation.
